I know, I know, it's been two months. I can't believe it. You're looking well though, and it's good to see you.

Not so little known fact about me but I am a massive Twin Peaks fan. I've always been really inspired by the awesome ladies of Twin Peaks and their quirky 90s meets 50s fashions. So I'm sure you can imagine that I was just over the moon to hear the one and only Sherilyn Fenn will be returning as Audrey Horne for the upcoming season! As a result I've been on a bit of an Audrey kick recently, and that's the story of how we ended up here.

This OOTD is my ode to the super badass and super stylish Miss Horne. It was also an opportunity to show off my favourite shoes of all time. Yes, of all time. These are my holy grail shoes and I will wear them until the day they fall apart (and then some). Although I suspect that the day they fall apart may not be during my lifetime...

I discovered Muffy's Enterprises after watching one of my now favourite films Stoker. The shoes are a reoccurring symbol in the film and after my first viewing I knew I needed them. So I stalked and stalked until I found the exact shoes used in the film and then finally they were mine. Fun fact: they're also the school shoes in The Gilmore Girls.

I was really nervous about ordering them as I hate to order shoes online because it's always seemed really risky to me. Especially as a half size. However, all the sizing info on their website is super helpful and very, very accurate and when my shoes finally arrived they fit like a dream. I've worn them almost everyday since their arrival over a year ago.

If you're looking for a true, 50s saddle shoe then look no further. I've bought Funtasma shoes and Modcloth saddles before and they just do not compare. Not only are Muffy's shoes incredibly high quality but I found them to be really affordable too (even with the terrible exchange rate at the moment). The only problem I've encountered with my shoes is trying to decide what colour to get for my next pair!

I hope you had a great New Year and I am sorry about my luck of updates. The good news is that I've been up to a lot in my absence, so there'll be lots of stuff for me to update you on over the coming weeks! Although if you subscribe to my Instagram you'll already be more up to date!
